Reborn doll artists are masters of their craft. If you are a layman, you might not be able to fully appreciate their skills or time invested in creating these art pieces. In fact, you might not even be able to recognize the differences between exquisite handmade reborn dolls and mass-produced factory products.
However, these artists deserve all the admiration and respect. Creating something unique is an arduous process that requires a lot of knowledge, skill, and patience. So, let’s take a moment to appreciate some of the best reborn artists in the world!
1. Kim
Kim is the owner and founder of Custom Doll Baby, Inc. and the website, CustomDollBaby.com. There are Ready-to-Adopt babies on her website and she also takes custom orders. She creates hand-crafted reborn baby dolls. It usually takes her 60 to over 100 hours of detailed handiwork to create a reborn doll, which is meticulously painted, rooted and assembled to be as real as possible.
She attaches great importance to details. Lifelike skin features such as mottling, veins and blushing bring her dolls to life. Dolls’ hair is micro-rooted one or two strands at a time to give them a soft and natural head of hair. High quality weighting materials are carefully distributed within the doll to feel just like a floppy newborn in your arms.

2. Ruth Seyffert
Ruth Seyffert comes from Ontario, Canada, who sells her dolls in her local community and does custom order. She also shares her dolls on her website, BlessedBabyCreations.com. Her goal is to create beautiful reborn babies that you can love and cherish forever.
Each reborn doll created by Ruth is painted in layers using Genesis heat set paints to create a realistic looking skin tone, including veining, darkened creases and skin mottling. This high quality paint is guaranteed not to fade or rub off. Reborn dolls from Ruth are weighted using tiny glass beads and stuffed with soft polyfil. This combination of glass and polyfil creates a cuddly and true to life feeling baby. A reborn baby’s head must be supported just like a real newborn infant’s. The hair on the reborn dolls is micro-rooted 1-2 hairs at a time, using premium mohair.
A sleeping reborn has hand rooted eyelashes that match the hair on his/her head, and an awake baby has whispy eyelashes carefully glued to his/her eyelid. Awake babies also have acrylic eyes that are the colour of your choice.

3. Julie Mitchell
Julie Mitchell is located in Brisbane Australia but sends her dolls all over the world. You can take a look at her babies at the website, TenPinkToes.com.
She is always trying new techniques and colours to improve the outcome. She spends hours on the fine detail – striving to make her dolls look as realistic as possible. Her dolls have subtle veining and mottled and blushed complexions.
If she has no suitable babies available, she can make you a custom baby — you pick the kit, eye colour, hair colour etc and she makes the babies to your specifications.
Some of Her Works:
4. Deborah Bosley
Deborah Bosley presents her dolls at DeborahsLittleLambsNursery.webs.com. If you have seen her website, then you know she is a real talent. She began reborning in 2007 and has a masters degree in art. She is a member of The Collage of Reborn Art and has earned many reborn painting certificates. Deborah also earned her Master Art degree in reborn art May 2014.
She generally uses #80 glass beads in the head & limbs of her babies, and #30 glass beads in the body. Poly-fill is used in areas needed to top off (limbs) & surround (body) the beads. The beads in the body are encased in a new white cotton sock & covered with a nylon stocking. Most babies weigh 3 to 6 lbs. Her babies are painted with Genesis heat set paint or Che’Air Dry Paint.
Mostly she paints her babies hair and sometimes adds a bit of rooted hair, which comes from angora goat, as this makes for no fuss hair. Also any baby can be made Caucasian or African American, Asian, Indian, etc. Her babies have a great number of realistic details, such as veins, mottling, nail tips and milk spots.

5. Irene
If you’re looking for some diversity, look no further than Irene, who sells her amazing creations on latidosreborn.com. This incredible lady creates some unique and intriguing pieces. She believes that a reborn baby is an exercise in creativity and patience, a museum of details that makes each one unique.
Each of her babies is a piece of mastership, unique and unrepeatable made from the best soft vinyl kits and supplies on the market. That’s why you can never find two reborn babies exactly the same even if the same artist starts from the same kit.
While reborning, she immerses herself in a long and laborious process in which she dedicates herself to utilizing her style and personal techniques in each step of reborning.

6. Anne
Anne is the artist at precioustome.com. Very few custom artists offer returns of any kind due to the very nature of the work. She is one of them and provides 100% satisfaction guarantee. She cares about her customers and appreciates each investment so much that she chooses to offer a range of returns on my custom babies.
The realism of her dolls is achieved by her attention to every detail. Her dolls are painted with three-dimensional skin and age appropriate veining that runs throughout the limbs and scalp. Mottling and baby pinks (natural pink/red splotches) are added in multiple colors/shades which are built out from the same palette to preserve realism and color congruence in all areas.
The creases, wrinkles & fat rolls are shaded in two complementary colors to achieve the warm, natural baby skin effect and add depth so that it appears squishy. “Barely Ther” Eyebrows are painted in several layers and will appear three dimensional. The body and limbs are weighted with ultra-fine glass beads and topped with premium poly-fil for a naturally poseable body and soft flexible limbs that are slightly squeezable. The head is weighted and will need support just like a newborn.
All her babies are sold with a laminated Birth Certificate (certificate of authenticity) signed by her. They are also sold with a written guarantee and care instructions.

7. Laura Cosentino
Laura Cosentino, who owns the website Laura Reborn Dolls, was born in Catania in June 1982. Since she was a child, Laura has always had a passion for dolls, drawing, painting and art in general. She started reborning in 2010. Her dream is to spread the art of Reborning as much as possible in Italy and pass it on to the new generations of artists.
Laura has received many awards in reborn doll arts, e.g., the “Rooting Certificate” and “Artist of the month June 2015” by the Reborn Life Like Baby Guild. Also, she has been recognized as a member of several Reborn Doll institutions.
Her dolls are made from the kits of the best sculptors in the world with excellent materials and of the highest quality. She does her work with much enthusiasm and attention, taking care of the smallest details – skin, v eins, capillaries, redness and everything that can make her dolls truly unique.
Great commitment and attention is placed in the art of rooting, or the technique of inserting hair, one of the most important and difficult phases of reborning, for which she has always tried to give her best, thus succeeding, with hours and hours of work, study and courses, in creating really realistic little heads.
Some of Her Works:
8. Gilly Clark
Gilly, the founder of preciousbaban.com, has been reborning for over twenty years. Each reborn is personal to her, as she hopes they will be for their new adoptive parents; and because she has such an affinity with each production, she puts her very heart and soul into bringing each and every one to life.
Each baby is painted by hand with many layers of genesis heat set paints. Babies are weighted with glass beads and filled with soft polyester filling. Awake babies are given beautiful glass eyes and sleepers given tiny rooted lashes. They have soft, nicely made doe-suede bodies and are fully clothed in real baby clothes. Her babies arrive home carefully boxed in pretty ribbons along with their blanket, dummy, rebirth certificate and care instructions.
Some of Her Works:
9. Cristina Maria Ortolani
Cristina Maria Ortolani, an Italian reborn artist of Bambole Del Cuore, has been creating reborn dolls for over 10 years.
She has participated in several competitions in which she has won many prizes and awards for her rooting and reborning techniques, such as “Artist of the Month July 2014” by PRA * ISE and Baby of the Month April 2014 by Exceptional Reborn Artistry Guild.
She makes each of her reborn dolls with much love, dedication, patience and attention to details, using high quality materials.
To achieve a real skin effect, many layers of color are painted. She uses the Genesis Heat Set Paints, non-toxic permanent colors that require cooking in a special oven. As the final layer to protect the vinyl to obtain a particular texture of the skin, she uses the Genesis Matte Varnish. For the eyes of her reborn dolls, she uses high quality Lauscha glass eyes, changing the color according to her personal preference.
To root the hair, Cristina uses the micro rooting technique – she inserts one/two hair at a time with very fine needles and high quality Delta Dawn Premium mohair. For filling the head, limbs and body, in order to give the doll a realistic weight, microglass, virgin polifylll and “baby fat” are employed. Her reborn dolls are equipped with a magnetic pacifier, diaper, intimate body and shoes.

Tracy owns the website HeavensTinyAngels.com. She lives in the suburbs of Pittsburgh.
She has been creating reborn dolls since 2008. The dolls she creates start as blank vinyl kits and she transforms them into life like reborn babies. She has sent her babies all over the world (USA, UK, France, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and Canada) over the past 11 years.
She only uses the highest quality of materials and pays strict attention to every detail that goes into creating her dolls. Each of her angels are infused with unconditional love and healing energy. My developer is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP.
I have always disliked the idea because of the costs.
But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using WordPress on various websites for about a year and am
concerned about switching to another platform. I have heard great things
about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress content into it?
Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!
